Mauricio Pochettino will consider fielding academy players in next season s FA Cup after becoming frustrated by the constant talk of Tottenham s failure to win a trophy.

Spurs hopes of claiming a first piece of silverware since 2008 ended on Saturday, as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the semi-final at Wembley.

Thomas Muller suffered bruising to his thigh in Bayern Munich s 6-0 DFB-Pokal quarter-final win over Paderborn, head coach Jupp Heynckes has confirmed.

The Germany international was replaced by Corentin Tolisso after 32 minutes of Tuesday s match, with Bayern leading 2-0.

Heynckes says the forward was taken off as a precaution and expects updates on the problem over the coming days.

Aleksandar Mitrovic netted an 84th-minute winner as Saudi Pro League champions Al-Hilal overcame Damac 3-2 on Wednesday.

Mitrovic, who opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time, sealed a comeback win for Jorge Jesus team, who made it two victories from as many matches in 2024-25.

Damac thought they might be set for a memorable victory, which would have been their first on the road at Al-Hilal, when Francois Kamano and Habib Diallo scored in quick succession at the start of the second half.

However, Musab Al Juwayr restored parity in the 73rd minute, paving the way for former Fulham star Mitrovic to deftly backheel home from six yards out late on.

Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Šime Vrsaljko, the Spanish club have . The deal is now subject only to a medical and the finalization of the legal documentation.

Vrsaljko arrived to Madrid from Sassuolo in 2016, and played a total of 54 games in all competitions for Diego Simeone s team, scoring a single goal in that time.
